Lamai has both Makro Superstore for groceries and Tesco Lotus for groceries, clothing, electrical, Mobile Telephone stores, etc.We provide complimentary pick up from the Airport, Ferry Terminal or your accommodation on the island to the Villa and return (one in each direction).Please provide me with your arrival/departure details, including flight numbers as soon as you have them, in order that we can ensure a prompt pick up for you at the Airport.In the case of the Ferry arrival, we will need times of arrival, name of the Ferry port that you will arrive at (there are 5 different piers on Samui) and the name of the Ferry company please that you will be using.
Yes we have Fibre Optic wifi at all our Villas where we will provide you with a password upon your arrival.Where are their ATMs?Every 7-Eleven and FamilyMart Store has an ATM. There are numerous 7-Elevens and FamilyMarts with ATMS located everywhere on the island.Banks are located in Lamai, Chaweng and Nathan.Towels are provided for you at the Villa, along with fresh bed linen, and are changed after every 3 nights.There are huge selection of excellent Restaurants on the island serving delicious food, and you will never be more than a 3 min drive from one. Refer to here: LOCAL RESTAURANT GUIDEYes there are mosquitos. They mostly come out at sunrise, and just before sunset.Please bring a good quality insect repellant with you. You can also purchase local insect repellant from the stores on the island.If you are vulnerable to mosquito bites, then we suggest long sleeves and pants may be desirable.Thailand's voltage is 220 at 50 hertz. Yes please bring an adaptor that is suitable for Thailand.
Adaptors can also be found here at many mini-marts.On the island, clothing is casual and relaxed, with wearing beachwear suitable only for the beach. Topless is not considered appropriate for the Thai culture and people.
The simplest and most convenient way to travel around the island is the hire of a vehicle, where we can assist you with the rental. We have mopeds and cars for hire. We would advise, that unless you are an experienced moped driver, a car is more suitable to drive for the roads on the island.
In the case of Villa Moonstone, Villa Crystal, Villa Emerald and Villa Sapphire, which are all located at Sitara Retreat, a 4 x 4 vehicle is required for the hill; or a moped if you are a competent driver. If you prefer not to drive, taxis can pick you up at the entrance to Sitara Retreat which is a 4-5 min walk down a short steep hill.
Six of our villas provide the use of a vehicle within your villa rental price. The remaining villas we can provide suitable vehicles at a competitive price.
Is there insurance for vehicles?
All our cars are insured, with the guest being responsible, and limited, for the first 20,000 Baht of any damage. There is no insurance on mopeds where the guest pays for any damage incurred.
It is the guests' responsibility to ensure that they also have their own comprehensive Travel & Health Insurance, and appropriate driving documentation for Thailand.

If your intentions are not to drive on the island, we can provide tel numbers of taxi services for you. Songthaews, which are a public mini truck service, also travel around on the ring road to places such as Lamai, Chaweng and Nathan where you can hail them down.
